On October 26, the 25,000 Nm3/h circulating fluidized bed coal-based industrial gas technology co-developed by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jinan Huangtai Gas-fired Furnace Co., Ltd. passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal organized by the China Institute of Electrical Engineering. The experts of the appraisal committee heard reports on the project's work report, technical report, economic benefit analysis report, on-site test report, application report, and new technology investigation report. After the inquiry and discussion, the appraisal committee believed that the technology With excellent performance, high gasification intensity, and wide adaptability of coal types, it has reached the international advanced level of industrial gas technology of circulating fluidized bed air blast system and has unanimously approved the identification of scientific and technological achievements.
The project addresses the problems of traditional fixed-bed coal-fired industrial gas installations and has developed a circulating fluidized bed coal gasification technology. Research has been carried out in the aspects of material recycling and gasification reaction organizations, air distribution, gas dust separation, and slag removal technologies. A series of technological innovations have been completed and a 25,000 Nm3/h circulating fluidized bed coal-based industrial gas technology has been successfully applied in the demonstration project of Jiangsu Huiran Industrial Co., Ltd.
The demonstration project built 2 sets of 25,000 Nm3/h hot gas circulating fluidized bed coal gasifiers to provide fuel for 3 Ф3400mm×100m rotary kiln projects with an annual output of 150,000 tons of nickel-iron projects. Since the start of operation in August 2013, the continuous operation rate of the two gasifiers has reached 95%, the continuous operation of the single furnace has been stable for more than 170 days, the gas calorific value ≥ 1200 kcal/Nm3, and the carbon conversion rate ≥ 84%. Outperformed by the contract indicators, the experts were appraised as “achieving a stable, long-term, full-optimized operationâ€, and saved users a lot of operating costs, significantly reduced the cost of nickel metal smelting, significantly reduced environmental pressure, and helped the company turn a profit.
