I have previously conducted a software product inspection test for Zhongwang Software, and this time I want to evaluate the latest Zhongwang CAD+2014 version. This is a 2D/3D drawing software that retains the DWG format compatibility of traditional CAD market standards as well as mainstream design software such as the AutoCAD user interface. What surprised me even more is its new features: smart voice, dynamic blocks, custom user interfaces, and online workflows. Next, I will share these useful features with the designers:
First, intelligent voice: drawing interaction is more effective
Verbal presentation is more effective and more direct than writing technical questions. A common example - I think most of us have this experience: when we study textbooks, we don't figure out what it means by repeated reading, but the teacher explained it in a short language, and we quickly understood.
Intelligent voice is one of the most important new features of Zhongwang CAD+2014. I found this feature to be very useful, it's simple to use, and it can help avoid errors that can occur due to misunderstandings or misrepresentations (see Figure 1). I briefly cite a few highlights of smart speech in practical applications: assisting in the interpretation of design intent, as an aid to insert comments in comments, documenting designer ideas, and making operational presentations more effective.

Intelligent voice is a method of communication and interaction between CAD and users. It provides options to show or hide all sound objects. The user can select whether to play a voice comment, delete, or set (visibility and type) for each voice object through the management dialog box. If there are many sound objects in the drawing, the search options will quickly find their graphic position.
One thing to note is that voice annotations can only be run on DWG format files. When converting drawings to other forms, such as DXF or PDF, or outputting to traditional media - voice data will be lost when the drawings are printed on paper.
Second, dynamic block: drawing design is more efficient
The dynamic block is a new feature of Zhongwang CAD+2014, which supports the modification of blocks by parameters and actions (see Figure 2). This means that dynamic blocks are based on traditional blocks, adding added attributes and custom grips for quick editing.

I will briefly explain what a dynamic block is. Imagine we have to insert a door on the wall (there are many kinds of doors and walls of different thicknesses). If a conventional block is used, we must draw a door that fits every possible pattern based on the size of the door and the thickness of the wall. Instead, with dynamic blocks, we can design separate blocks for each type of door—single door, double fold door, double door, and various widths and thicknesses. We specify the style and size by customizing properties and parameters. Once the dynamic block of the door is inserted, we can click on it to see the key points and the icons of the grips so that we can modify it dynamically (so called a dynamic block). We can even specify the opening angle of the door or turn it off.
Objectively speaking, the dynamic block function of Zhongwang CAD+ can help designers save time and improve drawing efficiency.
Third, the custom user interface: free custom personalized interface
A dialog called the Custom Interface (CUI) allows us to manage all aspects of the user interface (see Figure 3). This includes the workspace, the ribbon panel, and the quick access toolbar. By changing the interface, we end up with the tools we really need.
Using the CUI command, we can create and manage all the toolbars. It can save custom user interface configurations in XML format for export. It's important to emphasize that it's easier to drag and drop to a custom ribbon, but customizing the user interface dialog is much more than that.

Fourth, online update: software upgrade is more convenient
Zhongwang CAD+2014's new online update mechanism allows us to update the software to the latest version online (see Figure 4). There are two ways to do this: choose to manually check for available software updates online; automate this process with a weekly check, a two-week check, or a monthly check with the option to automatically download updates.
For users who need the latest patches at work, this new feature can easily meet his needs.

Five, cloud file synchronization: bring a new online work experience
The new online file synchronization feature of Zhongwang CAD+2014 allows us to save our drawings and customized configurations to third-party cloud services such as Dropbox and Microsoft's SkyDrive. For enterprises and user groups, it is very important to work together using synchronized files, and Zhongwang CAD+ makes this very easy. What's even more exciting is that Zhongwang Software has a touch mobile solution called Zhongwang CAD Touch, which has been proven to help us with CAD design work at any time and anywhere.
Summary: As time passes and the CAD system matures, new CAD tools continue to emerge, such as Zhongwang CAD+. The birth of the software follows the rules of a CAD solution: a familiar interface and a high degree of compatibility with AutoCAD. This allows AutoCAD users to view CAD+ without having to convert file formats and without prior training. So, what are the trade-offs when choosing these two CAD?
From a commercial perspective, the numbers speak for themselves. Enterprises can purchase several Zhongwang CAD+s at the price of AutoCAD. The benefits of the technology field - we call it micro-innovation: as I discussed in this article, you can weigh it together when choosing this product. The reduction of drawing processing time is very important, and the new tools of Zhongwang CAD+2014, such as intelligent voice, dynamic block and custom user interface, play a big role in reducing design time. In addition, the software is kept up-to-date with online updates without any additional steps. For designers, these are irresistible practical features.
