After years of construction, the high-speed rail network in mainland China has gradually taken shape. Yesterday, the "China Standard" EMU officially went offline in China.
The design of the standard EMU is based on the existing EMUs and combined with China's high-speed railway operating environment and conditions, and has made “localization†improvements on 13 major aspects such as vehicle body, electrical, power and network.
According to the introduction, the standard EMU is designed to operate at a speed of 350km per hour. The train is covered with Wi-Fi wireless network. The front and rear seat spacing of the second-class seat is expanded from the current 1020mm to 1160mm, which is more comfortable.
"China Standard" EMU research and development process:
- In 2012, China Railway Corporation led the development of standard EMUs;
- In December 2013, the overall technical conditions were completed;
- The design of the program was completed in September 2014;
- On June 30, 2015, the "China Standard" EMU was officially launched.
The yellow car is manufactured by CRRC Changchun Railway Co., Ltd., and the blue car is manufactured by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Locomotive Co., Ltd.
