Fraud cases occur frequently with UnionPay branches to prevent bank card fraud

As the Spring Festival is approaching, bank card swiping and consumption are frequent, and various bank card fraud cases will also enter a period of frequent issuance. Recently, China UnionPay Hubei Branch reminded cardholders that bankcards should be strengthened.

First of all, we must keep the bank card properly, do not lend it to others, do not store the bank card with the ID card, and do not easily tell others your bank card number, expiration date, ID card number and other information.

Do not disclose your bank card password to anyone. Don't set a "lazy password"; don't use your birthday, home phone number and other numbers that have direct contact with your information as your password.

Pay attention when shopping and using bank cards to check out during the holiday season. Make sure that the card is not out of the eye, pay attention to the number of times the cashier swipes the card, check whether the two purchase orders overlap, carefully check whether the amount and currency of the purchase order are consistent with the actual consumption, and keep the purchase order after the transaction is completed.

Beware of various types of bank card fraud

During the Spring Festival, SMS and phone fraud crimes may resurrect in some areas. If you receive suspicious letters, e-mails, mobile phone messages, phone calls, etc., you should carefully confirm the authenticity of the message and never believe in the "winning" message.

Recently, many cases of using fake access control to steal cardholders ’bank card information have been discovered, and there are also criminals who have pasted forged UnionPay signs on some ATM machines, and printed contact information on the signs to induce cardholders to call for fraud.

China UnionPay specially reminded that the self-service bank's access control does not require password input; before operation, you should carefully check whether the machine is working properly, whether there are signs of modification, whether there is a pinhole camera; pay attention to whether there are suspicious elements around. When entering the password, prevent others from prying into the password; do not use the bank URL provided by an unknown link or email.

Respond in time to problems with the card

If there is a problem such as the machine swallowing the card or not spitting money, do not leave easily. You can call the bank service number displayed on the ATM screen in time or directly call the national unified customer service hotline of the issuing bank. Phone pasted next to the machine.

If the bank card has been lost or stolen, the issuing bank should be contacted to freeze the account in time; if the bank card and passbook share the same account and are both lost, the bank card and passbook should be reported separately.

If a loss has occurred or the circumstances are serious, it should report the case to the local public security organ in time, and cooperate with the public security organ or the card-issuing bank to do a good job of investigation and proof.
