The FMS of the monitoring system is composed of three machine tools, one inspection device and a centralized chip processing device. The logistics system is composed of a rail car, a workpiece storage, a workpiece identification, a workpiece preparation station and the like. According to the production plan, the blanks are packed in a bin from several to dozens in the preparation station, and are transported to the processing equipment through the trolley. The processing status monitoring mainly adopts image processing and acoustic emission methods. This is because the online monitoring is required in the processing process. The acoustic emission method is an effective method for online monitoring of tool wear. The output of the sensor contains various information. A variety of anomalies are detected over a wide range. Once the workpiece changes, the sensor is changed without changing the sensor. Therefore, what to monitor and how to monitor can be freely set or changed. The monitoring system uses image processing methods to monitor obstacles caused by tool damage, workpiece clamping anomalies, chip winding, etc., and uses acoustic emission to monitor tool wear. The composition of the monitoring system is shown in Figure 12-22. There are 4 functional units. The functions and characteristics of each functional unit are shown in Table 12-6. Each unit can work in parallel, and its software can work in multiple tasks and can monitor multiple machines at the same time.
