At the end of 2012, Foshan introduced the returnee team led by Dr. Zhao Qingchun to form Guangdong Gaoju Laser Co., Ltd. Zhao Qing, Chairman of Gaoju Company, introduced the three core technologies of Gaoju: semiconductor laser chips, pulsed fiber lasers, and high-power semiconductor laser molding technologies, which are currently at the leading level in the world. Gaoju has applied for 15 invention patents and will apply for more than 20 invention patents this year. At present, Gaoju has become a leader in many laser fields. The business goal is to do the industry chain, from the core semiconductor laser chips, the most basic materials and equipment to the high-end laser light source system.

Settled in Foshan for more than a year, Gaoju began to achieve output. In 2013, the output value will be more than 2 million yuan. It is expected to achieve an output value of 10 million yuan to 15 million yuan this year. It is estimated that by 2015, after all the three core technologies are in mass production, the annual output value will exceed 50 million yuan.

At the beginning of this year, Zhao Qing’s team and related academicians submitted a 30 billion yuan laser development plan to the national level, and recently passed the initial reply. "I hope that Foshan can integrate resources, strive to occupy a place in it, build Foshan Laser Industrial Park, and cultivate our own whole industry chain."
