The scale inhibitors commonly used in water treatment are polyphosphates, organic phosphonic acids, phosphonic acids, organic phosphonates, polycarboxylic acids, and the like.
1) Polyphosphate

2) Organic phosphonic acid scale inhibitor
Commonly used are ATMP, HEDP, EDTMPS, DTPMPA, PBTCA, BHMT, and the like. It has a good effect on inhibiting the precipitation or precipitation of calcium carbonate, hydrated iron oxide or calcium sulfate.
3) Organic phosphonate
The effect of the organic phosphonate on inhibiting calcium sulfate scale is good, but the effect of inhibiting calcium carbonate scale is poor. It is low in toxicity and easy to hydrolyze.
4) Polycarboxylic acid scale inhibitor and dispersant
The polycarboxylic acid compound has a good scale inhibition effect on the calcium carbonate scale, and the amount is also extremely small. Commonly used are polyacrylic acid PAA, hydrolyzed maleic anhydride HPMA, AA/AMPS, multicomponent copolymers and the like.
It is mainly used for anti-corrosion and scale inhibition of water coolers, oil coolers, condensers, air coolers, evaporators, radiators, reactors, absorption towers, storage tanks, pipelines and other equipment in various industries.
