In order to minimize the emission of “three wastesâ€, in recent years, the city has won 44 million yuan of national heavy metal pollution prevention and control funds for the recycling project construction and river management of lead and zinc smelting enterprises. At present, the key points of Chengzhou Zinc Industry and Baohui Group Enterprises have reached national emission standards. At the same time, the city has also closed more than 10 small cement plants, paper mills and ferrosilicon plants with high pollution, and carried out renovation and upgrading of sewage treatment plants in counties such as Chengxian and Wudu, and the emission reduction level has been greatly improved. In order to cure the smuggling phenomenon of some enterprises, the municipal environmental protection department has effectively stopped the "three wastes" emissions by opening reports and telephone calls and setting up monitoring points in key enterprises.
