Japan's Miniature Fiberglass Noah's Ark is favored by many countries

Cosmo Power Co. of Japan began selling a miniature capsule version of the rescue capsule called "Noah's Ark." "Noah's Ark" is about 1.2 meters in diameter and has four seats, a hatch, a glass window and two ventilation and drainage holes. The rescue capsule is made of fiberglass, which is lighter than steel but tougher than steel.

Its inventor, Toshiaki Tanaka, said that he had thought of making such a floating escape capsule after watching a heavy rain in Kyushu four years ago to help people survive the floods, tsunami, earthquake and other catastrophes. It takes a day to make a "Noah's Ark." The company plans to increase production efficiency, making 20 a day. At present, there are four types of escape cabins and six people use them. The prices are 315,000 yen (about 26,000 yuan) and 471,450 yen (about 38,000 yuan).

Although it has received orders from all over the world (the United States, Brazil, China, Thailand, Bangladesh, New Zealand, etc.), the company is not ready for overseas sales. Inventor Tian Zhongzhao said that he plans to build an upgraded version of "Noah's Ark" in the near future.
