The automobile molds are mainly cast blanks, which are processed into pre-designed shapes. The punches and the female molds are coupled together by guide plates or guide posts (see Fig. 1, Fig. 2). The molds are placed in the stamping during production. Inside the machine, the press plate is raised to open the mold, and the appropriate plate is placed. The plate is lowered and closed, and then pressed to press the ideal part. Therefore, the role of the guide and the guide column in the mold production is crucial. .
1. Proposal of the problem
The guide post mounting hole is a round hole, and the boring process can be completed. However, the guide mounting groove is relatively cumbersome. To machine it, it is necessary to use a horizontal machine or a machine with side machining function (see Figure 3). The equipment we use is OKUMA's MCR-A gantry machining center, and the CNC system is OKUMA's OSP-E100M. The operation and programming described in this paper are based on the side machining function of this machine.
In the past, we used the handwheel mode to machine the guide plate mounting groove. When we saw the pattern and used the wheel to drive the machine for cutting, it was not only inefficient, but also easy to cut or even damage the tool during machining. Normally, 4 guide plates were processed. The installation slot takes about 4 hours or more, and it takes much longer if there is overcutting in the process. Later, the author also thought about letting the programmer program the automatic machining program. Since the tool needs to be changed in the middle of machining, and the tool used for machining is somewhat beyond the allowable range, the automatic machining cannot be performed; the automatic programming has one of the largest. The drawback is the specific problem. Different sizes of molds need to be made into different programs, which in turn increases the programmer's workload. In this context, the author has developed a macro program to program. The idea of ​​processing, once the macro program is made, only need to modify the variable call every time processing, no need to re-program, which can greatly improve the processing efficiency, and can ensure the stability of processing quality.
