Zhejiang Linhai Bans an Illegal Smelting Waste Aluminum Processing Site

On October 13th, in Linhai, Zhejiang, frontier police officers displayed raw materials for the illegal production of aluminum scrap at processing sites.

On the same day, the Linhai City Public Security Bureau of Zhejiang Province put together an environmental protection and comprehensive management department at the police station on the upper edge of the border to ban a processing site for illegal smelting of aluminum scrap in a sand field on Panpan. After investigation, the processing sites have not been registered with industry and commerce, and the production projects carried out have not been approved by the environmental protection department. In the past two months, the processing sites have closed during the day and started work in the evening. The aluminum ingots are produced from scrap aluminum. The exhaust gas from the aluminum melting furnace is discharged without treatment. As the equipment is primitive and the process is primitive, serious environmental pollution is caused during the smelting process, and it seriously affects the lives and ecological protection of nearby residents.
