The reporter saw that from rapeseed oil, soybean oil to corn oil, all processed oils derived from genetically modified raw materials are on display here, and a “GMO Food Counter†signboard is set up at the sales counter or on the shelves. According to the relevant personnel of the Food and Food Control and Food Control Division of the Food and Drug Administration of the City, the operators who implement counter sales must set up special counters or shelves to place and sell genetically modified foods at the business premises, and they should be prominently placed in the sales counters and shelves of genetically modified foods. Placing signage, GM foods and non-GM foods must not be mixed and sold. At present, all work is actively promoted. All eight large supermarkets in the urban areas have set up counters or special zones for the sale of genetically modified foods.
