Barbados Furniture Manufacturing Company announces recall of 635,000 cribs

BEIJING, January 20, according to foreign reports, a furniture manufacturing company based in Barbados announced on the 19th recalled about 635,000 cribs. Previously, it was reported that the death of a 6-month-old boy and the number of injuries to the baby were related to the quality of the crib.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall of the 20 cribs stemmed from its hardware and design flaws.
Last year, several crib recalls occurred. In February 2009, American infant furniture company Simplicity recalled more than 1 million cribs. Canadian furniture manufacturer Stork Craft recalled more than 2.1 million problem cribs in the US and Canada.
