Recently, the national key R & D plan "new energy vehicle" key special project "fuel cell engine and commercial vehicle industrialization technology and application" project 2019 promotion meeting was held in Weifang, the project was led by Weichai Power Co., Ltd. Experts from the key special overall expert group, peer experts, project and project leaders, and the "new energy vehicle" key special management office and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the person in charge of the project team introduced the project overview, implementation progress, risks and responses, and the next execution plan of the project. The project team and the experts conducted in-depth discussions on the project implementation. The experts suggested that the project team should continue to strengthen the product reliability and durability verification, as well as the breakthrough and application of key core technologies.
The project is geared towards the needs of various types of fuel cell commercial vehicles, and develops a series of fuel cell commercial vehicle products covering heavy-duty trucks to achieve large-scale engineering applications; breakthroughs in long-life, low-cost, and highly environmentally adaptable fuel cell engines Common key technologies and industrialized technologies such as stacks and membrane electrodes have formed high-power stacks and serial, multi-spec fuel cell engine 10,000-level production and manufacturing capabilities, and established a full technology chain evaluation system and a basic security system for promotion and application to achieve Scale demonstration application. As of March 2019, the project has developed two fuel cell models, obtained 4 vehicle product announcements, and produced 110 vehicles; 30 vehicles have been put into operation in Weifang, with a cumulative mileage of over 140,000 kilometers.
