The main disadvantage of the bromine-based flame retardant is that it reduces the UV stability of the flame-retardant substrate, and generates more smoke, corrosive gas and toxic gas during combustion, which limits its application.
2, phosphorus flame retardant
The phosphorus-based flame retardant functions to retard the dehydration and carbonization at the time of initial decomposition of the polymer. This dehydration carbonization step must rely on the oxygen-containing groups of the polymer itself, and the polymer having an oxygen-containing group for its structure. Their flame retardant effect will be better. 3. Phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant
Phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant is also called intumescent flame retardant.
