Germany's Mingshishi Co., Ltd. recently announced that it can produce carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) sheets with a width of 3.2 meters using a continuous production process. The company claims that it uses a large-scale industrial production method and has the ability to manufacture 1 to 5 mm thick carbon fiber sheets and panels with attractive prices, which makes the company very unique.
Bright Mingshi developed a new epoxy resin system for composite materials, which can ensure a firm bond between the carbon fiber and the resin matrix, enabling this high-performance material to have good tensile strength. “The matrix resin absorbs the forces and converts them into reinforced high-strength carbon fibers.†Steinmann, Technical Manager of BrightSlight explained, “Compared with other materials used in truck body panels, carbon fiber composite panels are more than steel or aluminum panels. Light from 30% to 50%, while tensile strength is 3 to 4 times higher than that of aluminum or aluminum."
